The Build My Future career fair in St. Charles, Missouri is a platform that brings together high school students and professionals from various industries. It aims to showcase different career paths and opportunities for students who may not necessarily pursue a traditional college degree. This year the event will be held at the St. Charles Family Arena on April 24-25, 2024. Consort Homes is proud to participate in this community event, showing high school students potential career pathways in the homebuilding industry.

Build My Future STL first launched in the St. Louis area spring of 2022 and was a wild success! This construction career and industry showcase event includes hands-on exhibits and virtual reality simulations in architecture, construction, bricklaying, heavy equipment, tile laying, welding, plumbing, HVAC and much more.

At the upcoming fair, Consort will have an outdoor booth, demonstrating to students the intricate skills required in the homebuilding industry. From reading blueprints to understanding plot plans, Consort and other industry partners like CVCS and Reed Electric will exhibit the practical aspects of their respective fields. Together, we are dedicated to enlightening young minds about the diverse career prospects available, emphasizing that formal education is not the only path to a successful career.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

High school students attending the fair will have the unique opportunity to engage with professionals, gain insights into various industries, and acquire knowledge about the skills and qualifications necessary to excel in these fields. The event promises an immersive experience where students can participate in interactive demonstrations, converse with experts, and even try their hand at hands-on activities related to different career paths.

Having participated in the career fair for the past three years, the Consort team is excited to return for the third time. Our participation at the fair has allowed numerous high school students to explore and kickstart potential careers in the homebuilding industry that don’t require a college degree and can provide paid training. This year promises to be yet another stepping stone for students looking to shape their future in the workforce.
